Civia is Serious About Transportation
Civia is dedicated to promoting the use of bicycles for transportation. We designed our bikes from the ground up, studying every aspect of commuting, hauling, trekking and schlepping. Then we created forms to fit function and chose the best materials for the job. The result is a bicycle like no other—a machine tailored to the needs of people who live on the go, on the road—on their bikes.

Our description of success
Light streams into our room and the thought of another great day prompts us out of bed. Catching up on the news and weather, we enjoy breakfast and gather our clothes for the day. We roll out of the house and ease into the bike lane that safely leads us where we need to go. …The lady on the yellow road bike must be on the same schedule, because, every morning, we pass each other in this same block... The singing birds and the fresh cut grass remind us that it’s summer, while the warm sun and gentle breeze push us along. Crossing over the interstate gridlock, we relish the freedom that two wheels and our own power brings. At work, our friends chat with us about the ride, while they secretly plot their own escape from the daily grind. Riding home clears our thoughts and we arrive refreshed. Paying the bills, we appreciate how much we’ve saved since simplifying to one car. Turning in for the night, it’s easy to fall asleep knowing we get to do it all again tomorrow.
